200 Fifth Avenue is one of the most historic and sustainable buildings in New York. The recent renovation of this landmark called for the effort and collaboration of hand-picked companies to ensure the finest job possible. Being asked to join the project, Concreteworks East brought its talents to New York. The interior work consisted of the fabrication of contemporary trough sinks with integral ramp drains as well as custom stair treads and paver platform.
The ‘U’ shape of the building surrounds an exterior area which can be seen through many different views on each floor. This focal point was revitalized into a flawless concrete courtyard for all within the building to be inspired by. Concreteworks East received an Honor Award for Commercial and Institutional Design from the Boston Society of Landscape Architects for the work done on the interior and exterior of 200 Fifth Avenue.
Landworks Studio, L&L Holding Company, Studios Architecture, and Johnson Light Studio were recipients of this award as well. A special thanks to each of the aforementioned companies for their outstanding work.
