The City of New York launched a $15 million Fulton Mall Streetscape Project back in 2009 which was recently completed. The goal of this project was to create a cleaner, more contemporary physical environment on Fulton Street in Brooklyn. This was achieved by removing the clutter and improving the surrounding landscaping. A focal point of the renovation for Fulton Street stakeholders included the creation of a revitalized and expanded Albee Square public space in front of the historic Dime Savings Bank building.
Concreteworks East was selected to fabricate new street furniture for Albee Square. CWE fabricated massive benches for the project in-house and had them installed in front of the Dime Savings Bank building. These benches instill a clean and spacious look to Albee square while providing a place for the public to sit and enjoy the new view.
