At Concreteworks East, we pride ourselves on our ability to bring unique and complex designs to life. One of our most ambitious projects to date was the creation of a large-scale replica of a WWE championship belt for the new WWE Headquarters in Stamford, CT.
This project was not just about creating a replica; it was about crafting a landmark. The belt serves as a striking visual element where fans can capture memorable photos for social media. Moreover, the ends of the belt double as a bench, inviting visitors to interact with the installation.
The leather portion of the belt was custom fabricated using Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) by our skilled team. The design work was a collaboration between UAP Company, Matter Workshop, and Craft Engineering. The concrete included all the intricate details of the actual championship belt, such as the leather embossing and stitching.
To recreate these textures, we CNC milled custom molds from high-density foam. The belt was then cast in panels with structural attachment points. Working alongside ACCU Machining, we fabricated a stainless steel frame structure that exists in the center of the belt. The concrete panels were attached onto this frame to create a full assembly.
This project stands as a testament to our commitment to precision, craftsmanship, and innovation. It has been featured in several local news media and is now open to the public. WWE fans and visitors can now see and interact with this landmark, making it a part of their WWE experience.
At Concreteworks East, we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible with concrete, and we look forward to bringing more innovative designs to life in the future.
