Concreteworks East was excited to again collaborate with SPAN Architects on the newly opened Hyatt Times Square in New York. SPAN Architects served as the lead interior design firm on the 54 story, 487 room hotel, making it the largest Hyatt in New York. The hotel also includes a spa, meeting rooms, gym and the roof top restaurant, Bar 54. The project was an Interior Design Best of Year Hospitality Award Honoree in 2014.
The spa, also one of the largest in NYC, is where Concreteworks East was brought on to provide custom precast elements. The main feature are the over sized vanities in both the men’s and women’s restrooms. Each vanity featured three integral sinks with a towel chute, trash chute, and counter. All in a beautiful dark brown color. Additionally, CWE provided smaller vanities for the public lobby bathrooms, benches for the steam rooms, and fireplace cladding at the outdoor fireplace of Bar 54.
