Terminal 7 at JFK International Airport has undergone a massive $65 million redesign by British Airways over the past year. One of the main highlights of the redesigned terminal is the new First Class Lounge for gold cardholders and customers traveling in the first class cabin. Concreteworks East was excited to collaborate with British Airways on the redesign of the near 5,500 square foot lounge in fabricating custom GFRC bar tops for the lounge’s premium bar. The back bar, which serves as the storage and drink display tops, features waterfall legs on both sides while the front bar serves as the serving area. The bar tops feature several custom cut-outs for under-mount sinks and trash chutes as well as matching precast covers for all the openings for when the bar is closed. The Champagne colored tops are the perfect match for the lounge’s sophisticated yet subtle mid-century style decor.
