Interactive live Zoom meeting using a powerpoint presentation, including video footage of actual fabrication techniques. Presented by ConcreteWorks East’s founding member and president, David Rogero.
Course Description:
In this course, participants will learn the development and possibilities of using GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) as an architectural material. In addition to learning the physical properties of GFRC, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and give feedback on the material presented.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the basics of GFRC and the fabrication process.
- Review the physical and structural properties of precast GFRC.
- Discover the advantages of precast GFRC over conventional concrete.
- Explore the possible uses of GFRC within an exterior or interior architectural project.
